If you love slurping up a big bowl of Pho or just crave Vietnamese or Asian cuisine at Hoi An Pho and Grill in Norwalk, you better hurry in. The eatery will serve its last meal on Saturday, June 17.

A staple for many in Norwalk, the owners said on Facebook that after working 90 to 100-hour weeks for years, the decision was made after a "remarkable opportunity" landed on their table.

Word around town is that a new business plans to open in the space.

The family said the ultimate goal was for their father to retire since the day they opened in April 2016.

They added that their father might "get the itch" again for a new business and a new opportunity might come up in the future.

"We've met some of the best and kind, most whole-hearted human beings ever to exist and wish that the love continues to grow within everyone around them," the family said in a goodbye on Facebook. "We want to thank all of you who supported us throughout all these years.

"Special thanks to those who came every week, if not every day during the pandemic to help us stay afloat. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be here right now."

After the news broke, many took to Facebook to mourn the upcoming closing, while offering well wishes.
